Prescription Renewals: Please note our clinic requires 5 business days to 1 week in advance when scheduling medication refills. We recommend that you call when you have 1 – 2 weeks left of your medications. All prescription requests require a scheduled “in-person” or “phone” appointment with your provider. If you are completely out of your medications, you can contact your pharmacy to see if they will give you an emergency supply until you are able to speak with your practitioner.

No-Shows: There is a $50.00 no show fee that will be applied to a patients account who “No-shows” without valid reason, whom have repeated the behavior in the past. As per office policy, our Medical Office Assistants will attempt to contact you around the time of the missed appointment to check in, reschedule if needed and/or discuss the fee.

Chart Transfers: There is a $35.00 chart transfer fee that is to be paid upon request to transfer records to a new medical office/new medical practitioner. In some cases there may be exceptions to this policy. However, we do always require signed consent from the patient’s new office/requesting medical practitioner to confirm we are legally authorized to transfer confidential information. Please note that our office transfers records by mail and the transfer could take 1 – 2 weeks before being fully completed and delivered.

New Patients: When one of our medical practitioners are accepting new patients our “New Patient Form” will be accessible on our homepage. If you are interested in becoming a new patient at our clinic please fill out the form and submit back to our clinic for intake purposes. Once we have processed your application we will reach out to you to schedule a “Meet & Greet” appointment with the accepting practitioner. Please allow 1 – 3 weeks for our intake department to get back to you.

Lab Appointment Bookings VIHA: Quadra Island Medical Clinic staff are unable to schedule, adjust or cancel any appointments for the Bloodwork clinic that uses our office space on Wednesday and Friday mornings. Our staff do not have access to Vancouver Island Health Authorities bookings database. Please note that it is always good to schedule your lab appointments 2 – 4 weeks in advance. To book an appointment, use the link on our home page. If you require urgent laboratory services your practitioners office will be able to provide you with a TAP form to cover ferry expenses in the case that you have to travel to Campbell River Hospital.
